Gets to know.......Todd Hoffman
On this weeks episode Simon K speaks to Todd Hoffman.
Todd Hoffman is the star and creator of Gold Rush. His crew and personality propelled the show to be the highest rated show on Discovery.
Todd is the leader of the Hoffman Crew, and the one of the major focuses of Gold Rush. Todd was the man who originally came up with the idea to go mine in Alaska, based off an adventure his dad did nearly 25 years earlier.
It was together with he and his inexperienced friends that he began his rocky mining career.
He came up with the idea to begin gold mining after watching the decline of his aviation business in Oregon and the regular rise of gold prices in the stock market.
In 2014, he and his crew mined more than 1000 ounces of gold.
He along with some of his fellow cast mates have spent some time hunting for gold outside of Alaska in remote area of Guyana, Chile and Peru
He is joined on Gold Rush by his father, Jack, who mined for gold in the 1980s. His son Hunter is also a member of the mining crew.
Todd is also a singer and has amassed millions of view on Youtube with his amazing covers and his original songs with Sandy Mule.
He also is the heavily involved with the Sober living Facility.It helps those with addictions turn their lives around and start over.
Now, Todd is a huge inspiration for a lot of individuals who has showed the world that dreams do become a reality if you are brave enough to dream big.
