On this weeks episode, Simon K talks to Dave Joyce of Dave Joyce martial arts academy about his life in martial arts and the experiences he has had in learning and teaching Muay Thai and Sayoc Kali in Ireland and abroad.
Dave Joyce has taught martial arts and self-defence in Galway for over 30 years.
Dave Joyce was the first Muay Thai Instructor in Galway and was a pioneer of the Martial Art in Ireland. He is a senior representative of the Irish Muay Thai Council. He has trained Irish Champions with several past students fighting at an international level.
He is also the Irish representative for Sayoc Kali. Sayoc Kali is a Filipino Martial art emphasises edged weapons (blades) and encompasses all aspects of fighting.
